New Dress

I know I have been one of the worst blogger recently. Basically, this semester has been extraordinarily brutal. I promise that your patience over the next couple of months will be rewarded with lots of posts (as soon as this damn semester ends).

In the mean time, I wanted to post an outfit pic today, but it was cream colored.

Did you have to read that last sentence twice? You might be asking yourself, "WTF is she talking about?" But for me it seems that when I wear cream/white colored clothes, stains become naturally attracted to me. Today it happened twice and that's when I gave up.

So instead I'll share one of my latest purchases. . . this vintage dress from ebay for $16 ($6 shipping). I can't wait until it arrives :)

I, of course, love it. But I'm curious. What do you think?

Colorful Pumps

Finally, my orders have arrived and I couldn't be more happy with these sexy pointy toe pumps! I bought all of these pumps on ebay at the metronome shoe store. Not only are these pumps reasonably priced (generally $10 to $15 a pair), shipping on additional items (beyond the first purchase) are free! I figured then that it would be more cost effective to buy several pairs of shoes at a time. The only problem so far is that these shoes are a little narrow and I wish I had gone a half size up on the higher heels since the height puts pressure on my toes. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this ebay store.
P.S.--To the right you'll notice that I've added direct links to my favorite online shopping sites. Enjoy!

Ebay Items of the Week 12.1.07

I know its been a while since I've posted about great finds on ebay, so it's about time I get my act together and share some new finds.
Here are some great designer dresses that are truly a steal!
This vintage Dolce and Gabbana dress not only has a classic look, the current price is $19.50 ($6.95 S/H)! I love the flattering fit and the femininity that silk exudes. Size 12.
Diane von Fustenberg is a goddess when it comes to choosing the right pattern for a dress. Although very different, I adore both of these pieces. Left: Plaid pastel dress, size 6 (but seems to fit much larger), current price .99 cents ($8 S/H)!!! Right: Purple dress with mustard and cream accents, size 8, current price $5 ($10 S/H)
I love jersey because its comfortable and so easy to wear. And this dress is absolutely adorable and flattering . . .can it get any better?!
BCBG Green Jersey dress, size large, current price $9.99 ($5.99 S/H)
And last, but clearly not least, is a Betsey Johnson jersey print that $9.99 ($6.50 S/H) should be in my wardrobe right now! Happy Bidding!

Ebay Items of the Week 11.4.07

Happy Daylight Savings! I decided to spend my extra hour looking for vintage finds on ebay:
This teal silk top is beautifuly detailed, making this a great layering piece! Bid is currently $24.99 ($5.50 shipping):
Following the teal theme, this 80s sweater dress with pockets rocks! So hip and comfy. . . perfect. $12 ($9 shipping):
This shirt-styled blazer was really ahead of its time. The geometric flow of this pattern is fantastic and the nuetral color scheme makes this a piece that can easily be incorporated into most waredrobes. Starting bid $14.99 ($4.60 shipping):
And lastly, not a vintage piece, but a fun accessory nonetheless. These tights are awesome and perfect for someone who wants to make a statement. For those feeling a little more modest, you could always tone down the statement by pairing these tights with some leggings or a pencil skirt. Buy a pair now for $6.99 ($3.99 shipping):
What do you think about these funky tights?
They're awesome!!!
I like them, but not for me
Fashion Evolution (FE) you need to stop doing drugs, these are hideous!
Different opinion, I'll explain in the comments

Ebay: Item of the week 10.7.07

I love vintage pieces. I also love ebay (well it's more like an addiction). Not only can you get a great deal sometimes, but you can also get one of a kind pieces.
Mixed with some more modern accessories, and a great vintage piece can look totally hip.
Because I'm a poor graduate student, I plan on posting cool vintage pieces I find on ebay in the hopes that someone will pick them up so I can live vicariously through his/her purchase :)
Today's item is a sexy pink wrap dress. I love the crocheted detailing on the back and the open sleeves (i.e.-no pit stains).
The starting bid on this dress is $25 ($5 shipping).
Go to http://www.ebay.com/ and in the search feature type in the item number to pull it up.
Item no. 150169224161
UPDATE: PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED TO $14.99!
